New Stuff!
Last night, carpdeus gave me a new treat. At first I was a bit suspicious of it, since it was red. And it smelled a bit like those odiferous wildberry things but it wasn't that bad. So I got closer to it. And sniffed it. Then I took a nibble and ran back into my house. and chewed on it a bit. It was good, juicy, fleshy, chewy. So I went out for the rest. carpdeus called it strawberry. It's not an orange but it is nummy. I prefer the apple slices but it makes a nice taste. Oh, and some folks have asked about the surprise that carpdeus promised me. It was some new chew things. I'm not sure I like them, hanging from this metal stick with a bell on it. The two pieces of wood were not any good, they had dust on them when he took them off. But we'll see if I chew on the new ones. Now, I need to go wheet for some apple or strawberry. Thanksgiving? This begins before the day that carpdeus informed me is Thanksgiving. He came home all excited about some new thing he'd bought me and insisted on trying to give me one. He called it a WildBerry treat. I call it an odiferous, stomach-churning concoction. Now he should know by now that Timothy or Oranges are what I like. He did make up for it yesterday by giving me a nice helping of timothy after he finished his dinner.
Today, however, he spent the day making a great deal of racket putting together some type of desk. The only reason I put up with it is I am now in a high-rise, since he gave me his old computer desk so I can see much more.
More later, he says he has a surprise for me later. As long as it's better than those wildberry things. Current Mood: boredCurrent Music: John Denver and the Muppets - Twelve Days of Christmas | | Saturday, April 24th, 2004 | | 8:33 pm |
Cage cleaning
Ok. Today was cage cleaning day. And carpdeus was holding me while windstorm666 was doing the cleaning. And it was pretty good because he was holding a cube of timothy for me to nibble on. Now, I know I spoke of oranges and things filled with citrusy goodness, but I love, I mean I really <3 timothy. It's the greatest thing since mown grass, better even. So, I've got this cube of compressed timothy that I'm nibbling on while I'm sitting there in his lap. And windstorm666 takes it away and gives him something else for me, something else that wasn't timothy. Now, I'm not really a difficult guinea pig. I want what I want, when I want it, how I want it. Which makes carpdeus say I've got subbie tendencies, whatever that means. I wanted my timothy cube so I bit him on the finger to make that point. Now, I'm an herbivore, so it'd be odd for me to break the skin but I made sure he understood that I did not like the non-timothy thing that he was trying to feed me. Fortunately for him, he soon had my cage put back together so I could go about my business of kicking up bedding and eating. And he made it up to me later by feeding me some good things, though I'll want fresh orange tomorrow. And someone needs to do something about those hamsters at the bottom of my page! Why is life so difficult?
I have two pets. Perhaps you know them, carpdeus and windstorm666. Their job is fairly simple. They are to take care of me and cater to my whims. And they can't do that sometimes. Take last weekend when they were cleaning my house. All I ask, since they disrupt me and take me out of my home, is that they feed me and love on me while they do it. And what did they do? They gave me a... a.... a banana! Now, they know that I want oranges. Or tangerines. Either way they are sweet, juicy, chewy manna. I wheet for oranges. And it's not like this was my first banana. Oh no. carpdeus had given me one of those before. It was dry. And not citrusy at all. I bit a small chunk off and chewed on it. And chewed and chewed, it was kind of dry. I didn't want any more so I didn't take it. He ended up leaving it in my food bowl where it took up too much room. I finally ate the stupid thing just so I could get to the rest of my food. But this last weekend they gave me another one! It took until this afternoon before I got any orange. And then I find out that the icons at the bottom of my LJ-pages are dancing hamsters!I am not a hamster. I am a Guinea Pig. I dont' know how but I want this fixed immediately! My first post
As you can see from my picture, I'm a guinea pig, Rodentia Caviidae, Cavia porcellus. And typing with my small fingers is not easy but having four paws helps. My owners set up this LJ-account for me so that I could get some exercise outside my cage. They would have set it up when they first got me but I had to learn to type. After all, RFGAJ DBNLKAJ:JikmAOIJSDI;ASD is not very interesting. This morning I tried cantaloupe. I like it, especially since it is spelled like my name. Last night I tried a tangerine. It's slightly tangier than an orange but I ate it all up. Well, I need to go chew on a paper towel tube. I'll post more later. Love Peneloupe Current Mood: accomplished |
